Laying the Foundation for Total Health
Chiropractic care is much like building a house—certain things must happen in a specific order for everything to stand strong and function correctly. If you try to put up walls before establishing a solid foundation, those walls would be weak and eventually collapse. Similarly, trying to add a roof before the walls are ready would lead to the same issue. The same principles apply to your body. Your body needs to follow a specific plan of care to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care:
Phase 1: Relief Care
When you arrive at our office in pain, our first goal is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your condition, you may need care two to three times per week for four to twelve weeks. For more details on this phase, click here.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
During the corrective care phase, we focus on allowing muscles and other tissues to heal more completely, which helps prevent future injuries. Typically, this phase requires four to eight visits per month for six to twenty-four months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your condition. Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed, it’s important to come in for periodic adjustments to maintain your health and prevent future issues. This usually means a quick visit to the chiropractor one to four times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals. For more details on this phase, click here.
