Thermography

One of the medical uses of infrared radiation is the technique of thermal imaging, or thermography. A thermograph shows areas of the body where the temperature is much higher or lower than normal, thus indicating a medical condition. Infrared, infrared thermography, thermal imaging, infrared radiometry, infrared imaging, and IR condition monitoring, are all terms used for this field. Infrared radiometrics and thermal imaging have achieved diverse applications in medical thermography, and are used by chiropractors in diagnosis and treatment.
